Itineraries
Day 1
Setting Out
Upon your arrival at Arusha hotel, Arusha Airport, or Kilimanjaro International Airport, we'll pick you up and transfer you to Moshi town, the gateway to Kilimanjaro. After an early preparation and a well-deserved rest, we'll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2
Duration: 3-4 hours Altitude:
Today, we embark on the thrilling journey to Lendorosi gate, where our climb commences. The trail takes us through lowland forests, offering glimpses of the large Colobus monkeys. Our destination for the day is Mti Mkubwa Camp, where we'll spend the night.
Day 3
Duration: 7-8 hours
After breakfast, our trek continues through the jungle and into the moorland ecosystem, dominated by Giant Heathers and various grasses and wildflowers. We'll reach Shira Ridge and then Shira 1 Camp, followed by Shira 2 Camp, where we'll rest and acclimatize. The Western Breach is visible if the skies are clear. Overnight at Shira 2 Camp.
Day 4
Duration: 5-8 hours
Today, we climb towards the main peak, Kibo, with the western glaciers in sight across the high-altitude desert of volcanic rocks and boulders. We ascend to the Lava Tower site before descending to Barranco Valley. The area before the campsite is known as the "Garden of the Senecios," boasting huge senecio plants and shorter lobelia plants. We'll spend the night at Barranco Camp.
Day 5
Duration: 4-5 hours
We leave Barranco Camp and ascend the steep Barranco Wall, offering majestic views at the top. We then descend into Karanga Valley, where we rest and acclimatize at Karanga Camp.
Day 6
Duration: 4-5 hours
Today, we make our final push to Base Camp, arriving at Barafu by lunchtime. Resting and preparing for the summit ascent are essential at this point. After dinner, we'll rest before our midnight climb.
Day 7
Duration: 10-16 hours
Our summit day starts at midnight, with a grueling six-hour hike to the summit rim. The trail is steep but doable, with many switchbacks. As the sun rises, we reach the summit rim and proceed to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Afterward, we descend to Mweka camp, ensuring a safe elevation drop for acclimatization
Day 8
Duration: 3-4 hours
From Mweka campsite, it's a descent through the forest to Mweka gate, where we collect certificates and meet the vehicle. Return to Moshi for the night and a farewell dinner with your guides.

Your Plan
After breakfast, we'll drop you at the airport according to your flight time. This marks the end of the unforgettable 9-day Mount Kilimanjaro expedition, filled with remarkable experiences and achievements.
